Whip Hand Cosmetics Teams with How to be a Redhead to Create Lip Palettes Exclusively for Redheads

Whip Hand Cosmetics Teams with How to be a Redhead to Create Lip Palettes Exclusively for Redheads

New York, NY and Detroit, MI  March 07, 2013  — Over the past ten years, natural born redheads and founders of How to be a Redhead, Adrienne and Stephanie Vendetti, have explored all shades of lip color in search of hues to complement their hard to match complexions. When their experience met the experts of Whip Hand Cosmetics the result is revolutionary: Redhead friendly lip products that promote confidence and beauty.

“Redheads have traditionally been an under-served group whenit comes to cosmetics,” says Riese Lauriat, founder and chief makeup artist at Whip Hand Cosmetics, “We wanted to present a line of products that makes it easy for women with red hair to find their perfect shade.”

With the help of the Vendetti sisters, Whip Hand Cosmetics designed two lip palettes completely inspired by redheads. The daytime look, EmpoweRED™, features cool toned lip crèmes, while GlamouRED™ is a warm creme collection to prep lips for a night on the town. Each palette comes with four lip cremes to give redheads a choice depending on their mood and occasion.

Adrienne Vendetti of How to be a Redhead says, “What’s different about these lip palettes is that they empower and beautify redheads at the same time!”

Each lip palette comes with a premium Stilazzi travel lip brush for application. The lip palette retails for $49. Palettes will premiere at Rock it Like a Redhead, How to be a Redhead’s first live beauty and fashion event for Redheads on March 16, 2013. A discounted rate will be offered to event attendees.

The mission: To prove that the Motor City not only produces automobiles, techno music and the best Coney dogs in the world, but also one-of-a-kind cosmetics that thrill and dazzle makeup professionals and cosmetics lovers alike.

“We chose The Makeup Show NYC to roll out Whip Hand Cosmetics’ color collection because not only is it the largest pro-only makeup and beauty event in New York City, but also because we wanted to expose one of the world’s epicenters of fashion and beauty to the incredible things that are happening in Detroit” says Riese Lauriat, Whip Hand Cosmetics Founder and Chief Makeup Artist. “There is beauty being created here in Detroit. The Makeup Show NYC marks Whip Hand Cosmetics’ official entry into the cosmetics and beauty space.

All of Whip Hand Cosmetics’ color cosmetics are manufactured locally in Metro-Detroit in small lots. Lauriat prototypes new colors and products and then works with professional makeup artists and clients to field test the concepts, gather feedback and then tweak them prior to producing the final product.

- 30 one-of-a-kind Crème Eyeshadows that match or complement the Whip Hand Cosmetics Pigment Collection colors.

- Six sumptuous Lip Crèmes that provide the ultimate in workability – in shades that can be built on each other, creating one-of-a-kind looks for lips.

- Six exclusive Crème Blushes

- Set The Stage Primer ™ – Professionally-formulated makeup primer designed to provide the perfect base for foundation and color application.

The company will also be debuting its Power Tools Vol. I™ Pro Makeup Brush Collection, a collaboration between Whip Hand Cosmetics, MuseBeauty.pro and Esum™ Brushes – the hottest new premium makeup artist brush on the market.

The Special Edition makeup brush set contains seven Esum™ brushes hand-picked by Lauriat to provide artists with the best tools to complement the unique properties of Whip Hand Cosmetics’ innovative crème eye, lip and face products. Power Tools Vol. I™ will be available for sale at the Whip Hand Cosmetics booth at The Makeup Show and will be bundled with a special Whip Hand Cosmetics Pro Skin Prep set.

“We’re especially thrilled about the Power Tools Vol. I by Esum makeup brush set,” said Lauriat. “We’ve been field testing Esum’s brushes for months and we’re blown away. Once artists and customers experience them, we think they’ll be fans for life. This is the kind of brush that will quickly become an essential in every good pro kit and we’re honored that Esum™ and MuseBeauty.pro agreed to collaborate on creating this first co-branded collection with Whip Hand Cosmetics.”

Whip Hand Cosmetics Launches “Fame Your Name” Cosmetics Naming Contest

Luxury cosmetics brand Whip Hand Cosmetics launches the “Fame Your Name” Cosmetics Naming Contest, which asks fans to name the company’s new makeup remover product. The Grand Prize winner’s name will be featured on the product and packaging.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WEBWIRE – Wednesday, February 29, 2012

Who better to name your new cosmetic product then the people who are most passionate about makeup, beauty and fashion? And who better to promote alongside that new product than the next generation of up-and-coming beauty and fashion talent who developed the name?

Luxury cosmetics and beauty brand Whip Hand Cosmetics is launching the “Fame Your Name” Cosmetics Naming Contest, which asks makeup artists, cosmetics junkies, fashion designers, models, photographers, stylists, beauty and cosmetics bloggers and fans to help the edgy, up-and-coming, Detroit-based cosmetics and beauty company name its new makeup remover product.

In return, the Grand Prize recipient will have their winning name featured on the Whip Hand Cosmetics makeup remover product and packaging at the company’s official launch and debut at The International Makeup Artists Trade Show in New York City, April 14 & 15, 2012.

Even better, Whip Hand Cosmetics will include a card profiling the Grand Prize Winner with every bottle of the makeup remover the company ships for the next year. The winning entry will become the official, permanent name of the makeup remover product.

Enter the contest today at the Whip Hand Cosmetics “Fame Your Name” Cosmetics Naming Contest.

“Whip Hand Cosmetics was built on the idea that we wanted to create a company that included beauty, fashion and cosmetics professionals in the process of creating exceptional, innovative and trend-setting products that met and exceeded professionals’ needs,” explains Riese Lauriat, Whip Hand Cosmetics Founder and Chief Makeup Artist.  “Even more importantly, we believe in promoting great talent, regardless of their level of experience, credentials, pedigree, or connections. That’s why we took the step of upping the ante, by giving the person with the winning name the opportunity to be promoted alongside our product when it ships.”

The contest asks beauty, makeup and fashion professionals, as well as the public, to come up with a name for Whip Hand Cosmetics’ new makeup remover product.

Whip Hand Cosmetics is accepting entries for the first round of the contest until midnight EDT Monday, March 12, 2012. The contest is open to U.S. residents, 18 years or older.

A group of judges at Whip Hand Cosmetics will choose the final five most promising names from all of the entries and announce them Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 on the Official Whip Hand Cosmetics Facebook page. The product name that receives the most “Likes” during the public voting period will become the official name of the makeup remover product.

The four Runners-Up will receive a $25 Whip Hand Cosmetics Gift Certificate and a free 8 oz. bottle of the makeup remover when it’s released.

About Whip Hand Cosmetics
Whip Hand Cosmetics offers luxury cosmetics and skin care products developed and manufactured in Detroit, by women for women, with attitude. The company’s innovative and trend-setting cosmetics and beauty products are made in small batches by hand. This process, while more labor intensive, sets Whip Hand Cosmetics apart from many large, corporate-owned cosmetic brands and manufacturers who “private label” the same product to multiple distributors and salons, often at different prices. The only way to own Whip Hand Cosmetics products are to purchase them directly from Whip Hand Cosmetics through their online boutique or from a select, approved Whip Hand Cosmetics salon or retailer.

The Whip Hand Cosmetics Collection will officially debut at The International Makeup Artists Trade Show (IMATS) April 14 & 15, 2012, in New York City. To regist or attend, visit: http://www.imats.net
